This all-inclusive, adults-only Jamaican resort sits on a private beach on the Caribbean Sea. It has 19 on-site restaurants and lounges, as well as a theater and nightly live entertainment.

The stay was enjoyable

Check in and check out was nice and easy, The restaurants were really nice , Pool area was clean and staff was around if you needed anything , Bartender was very funny in the pool and was excellent on keeping the drinks coming . Nice Beach area .

The first room we had on the 5th floor had a bad Musty smell , We opened the balcony doors to try and air out the room but it was to much to stay there witch sucked because the view was awesome. Moved to 3rd. floor witch also had a musty smell but not as bad, We would just leave the door open when we were out during the day and close it when we came back for bed , There is literally a big hole in the roof over the 5th floor room that we originally had.

What was the highlight of Secrets Wild Orchid

I never say I'll go back again to a Hotel, but this time I can honestly say I'd go there again.

The staff were superb. The facilities were also very good. The choice of places to eat was just enough for the 12 days we were there (but we did end up in the same restaurant too many times, as the other 'popular' restaurants were full and had as many 10 to 16 people waiting to get in). The beaches were excellent. The adult channels on the TV were appreciated ;-) .

Well, in the week before Christmas, and over Christmas there was always an abundance of sunbeds to choose from. However, from Dec 27th there was a huge influx of guests and unless you went down at 6am to put a towel on a sunbed you had no chance of securing one; anywhere. Moreover, the hotel staff did not help by not removing said towels (from unused sunbeds) in the prescribed time, as mentioned in the hotel literature. Would have appreciated a few more UK channels on the room TV - BBC1, ITV (yes, I know, you don't go on holiday to watch TV, but you get my drift).

Wonderful

I stayed in the Preferred Club suites and those rooms were located right next to everything. I didn't have to walk far to enjoy all the amenities. The staff at the Preferred Club pool worked tirelessly to ensure that I enjoyed my stay. I would recommend this location for anyone seeking serenity!

My dislikes had NOTHING to do with the resort but I didn't like that I had booked my stay for a such a short period of time!

I loved the chance to Visit Jamaica, people and place Wonderful, Beautiful ...Too Humid for me

Staff are professional, top notch! World Café Buffet is Excellent! Adia and Devon are great Concierge! Dewayne Bartender at Barracuda Bar should be a stand up comedian, he made me laugh every day!! We were in the preferred club group and loved the daily E-Board that kept the activities and news at our finger tips, and the rotation of a small buffet all day made it a fun bonus!!

The options for a Vegetarian are limited, to salads, pizza and fruit. Each restaurant such as French or Italian has few entrees and its not even authentic for each cuisine. Too many issues with maintenance such as shower heads, no lights, things not working or upkeep is lacking. the St. James Resort you can visit has same type of food, so that's boring. The Breathless resort we also has access to was nice to look at but the staff was rude and SNOBBY! Also many chairs with arms such as the French, Italian and Club lounge in Wild Orchid were not able to accommodate many plus size people as I ran into many people complaining (30 or more) in my week stay.

Overall I enjoyed my stay and would stay again

I loved the all inclusive aspect. Food and drinks were great. The staff was amazing and very friendly.

The only two things that I did not like was the water pressure was very low and the AC in the room was not cool. It was warm especially once the sun came out.

Best kept Secrets

I loved the room service, the quietness after certain hours. The staff was very courteous and professional.

The distance of the Spa even though I understood to an extent the strategy behind having it located where it is. The waiting period for room service.

What was the highlight of Secrets Wild Orchid

From the moment that we rolled onto the property, we were made to feel at home. This being our 2nd time at this resort, the staff from the Preferred club remembered us and treated us like royalty. The bellman Joseph was so helpful to us last year, and picked up right where he left off our second time around. The staff at the Barracuda Bar noticed that I left my selfie stick, and held it for me until they saw me again. Their drink service on the beach was impeccable. They even set up a spot for you on the beach with towels on the sun loungers, talk about being spoiled! They have so many activities for you to do if you don't want to leave the resort. We happened to catch the Halloween festivities and we had a blast! Friends of ours who stayed on a different resort last year, made note that not only was Secrets top notch in Luxury, but the quality of customer service and attention to detail was far beyond their expectations. I will always regard this place as my go to destination. Thank you Secrets Wild Orchid for making our week one of the best yet!

The pillows are dirty and flat. The rooms smell of mold. The food is ok at a couple restaurants but the Mexican restaurant is the worst. The drinks are ok but they way over charge you for a decent bottle of wine. The staff is friendly.
